Wearing your Jewellery

Your SABANIS precious jewellery piece is delicate and should be treated with special care and attention. To maintain your jewellery’s beauty, we advise you to avoid contact with perfumes, hair products, lotions, or other cosmetic products. It is recommended to put on your jewellery at the end, when getting ready.

Please, keep your piece away from high temperatures and exposure to chemicals or acidic solutions that may damage its colour or form. To prevent tangles, scratches, or other damage, we suggest that you remove your jewellery when sleeping, swimming, bathing, or participating in physical activity like sports.

Caring for Gemstone

All gemstones can be fragile, and the cut and setting can sometimes make them vulnerable.

Diamonds, along with other gemstone and pearl jewellery pieces, require special care and gentle treatment.
While diamonds are one of the hardest natural materials in the world, they still need to be treasured and taken care of, to keep them sparkling.

Porous gemstones, like pearls, are particularly sensitive to heat-related damage.
Therefore, it is advisable to avoid wearing jewellery with porous gemstones on the beach, where exposure to sea salt, sun, and sand could potentially harm the appearance of your gems.

To minimise the risk of damage, we recommend avoiding exposure of your your jewellery to falls or strong impacts, high temperatures, perfumes, cosmetics, and household chemical detergents.

Cleaning your Jewellery

To keep your SABANIS jewellery creations shining forever, you can polish them with a soft, dry cloth. This simple method allows you to clean all your jewellery at home without any risk of damage.

You can clean diamonds by using warm soapy water and a soft brush.
Gently clean behind the settings to remove any debris.
After cleaning, dry the piece with a soft cloth. It is a good opportunity to inspect your jewellery and ensure the stones are securely set.

We recommend bringing your jewellery to our boutique once a year for professional inspection, cleaning, and restoration.
When it comes to pearls, gently wipe them with a soft, dry cloth. Even mild detergent can damage their delicate coating.
It is advisable to have your pearls professionally restrung every one to four years, depending on how frequently you wear them.

Storing your Jewellery

When you are not wearing your Sabanis creations, it is best to store them individually in their original fabric case or pouch. To prevent scratches on your gold jewellery, we recommend storing them separately from pieces with hard gemstones like diamonds.

Chains should be fastened and laid flat to ensure they won’t become tangled and/or knotted.

Before we repair your jewellery we will give you a free estimation, as well as the expected timeframe of the procedure.
